If you didn't make it to the Hat Factory Vintage 16 mm Film Festival, here is what you missed. (If you were there, here is what you saw):
Rice growing in Japan: Very nice. Looked like late 40's vintage, crop dusting with helicopters.
Glasses for susan: a new day. I didn't see this one. I was cooking. Looked cute. Somebody help me out here.
Car talk: Join a vivacious brunette as she navigates the perilous wintry streets of Grand Rapids (or Battle Creek, or somewhere in Michigan, who cares, brrrr) enlightening women drivers on the joy of automobile maintenance. Features include demonstrations of fuel economies resulting from proper tire inflation, beakers full of gasoline!
Focus on drugs: Marijuana. The usual pap. Even better as the narrator, with full 70's chops, looked really stoned.
The Dodder: An evil plant serving no good purpose entangles wholesome, productive plants, like flax, in its parasitic quest for survival. A must see.
Apollo 16: Mission to the moon's highlands. Didn't see much of this one. I was cleaning up. Someone help me out here.
Exercise and health: Did you know that acrobatics promotes mental and physical health? Wow! We followed the story of Ernie and Mary as they conquered the insidious disorders of stress and shyness by developing poise and posture through... Acrobatics!
Thanks to new friend Peter for helping out in the kitchen!
