Life’s Work - A Shared Office Is a Great Escape From Working at Home

Submitted by ekai on Tue, 07/08/2008 - 20:50.

Another great story on coworking, this one in the New York Times. This article's author Lisa Belkin, is a work from home writer who decided home wasn't always conducive to getting things done. She explored a coworking space in Connecticut which turns out to be a bit more formal than the Hat Factory (we don't care how you dress here). Lisa talks to several coworking operators including myself here at the HF.

SF Chronicle Coworking Story

More media coverage on this great movement we call coworking. The San Francisco Chronicle did a pretty good job describing the value, history and sense of what coworking is all about. As is mentioned in the story, the Hat Factory came into being as a coworking space shortly after Brad Neuberg and others were looking for a more permanent place to call home. Now we are one of half dozen coworking spaces in the Bay area. In case you are wondering, yes, we do have space for new coworkers here.
